Today, AFR regional sales manager Lauren Goldberg reached out to friends and family with a personal message as she works to gather funds necessary to send breakfast to 20 families currently living at Ronald McDonald House New York.
Partnering with NY caterer Great Performances, Lauren has set a goal of $500 to cover the cost of delivering breakfast on the morning of Friday, May 1st to show support for the families staying at RMH-NY. “Not only are they staying there, but unfortunately they can’t have any of the play spaces open, the computer room’s not open - so these families are really stuck in their rooms right now,” Lauren said in a video to her friends and family.
Lauren is coordinating this initiative on her own as a member of the Board of Associates at Ronald McDonald House New York. As of posting this, she has raised $470! “[This is] beyond amazing and shows how amazing our community truly is,” she said.
Any money raised above the goal will be used for another meal delivery to RMH-NY the following Friday morning. There will also be a fundraiser for this second round of meals so please check back for more updates.
