On November 19th, we pulled into the City of Angels for our next to last tour stop at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. If you haven’t seen this property, it has a great event space. Located one block from the Beverly Center and just a few blocks from the sparkling storefronts of Rodeo Drive and The Grove, SLS Hotel Beverly Hills is perfectly positioned at the crossroads of Beverly Hills luxury and Los Angeles style. You can find more information here.
We worked with designer, Dave Merrell and his team at AOO Events to create a Beverly Hills Chic evening that showcased his talents and our furnishings perfectly.
Guests arriving to the SLS Hotel were greeted in the foyer of the ballroom for Registration and then escorted into the Garden Room and Terrace for the event. The space is tented for the Holiday Season and provided a blank canvas for Dave Merrell to work his design magic.
Entering the space, a collection of our Chateau line was showcased in two different settings. The first, a traditional grouping paired with the Harmony Tables on a white carpet, with floral and accents. Across from it, another with brown and silver pillows and our Hex Tables intermixed with Zanzibar end tables set on a silver rug. It was a great way to show the versatility of the collection.
We also previewed our Provence Bar and Bar Backs, which are new for 2014 with a couple Memphis Pub Tables surrounded by Marcus Bar Stools flanking either side. Another vignette featured an Ashbury table with a floral centerpiece integrated with Marteen and Elan Chairs and a Hayden Bench for another styling.
In the space and set in front of a huge mirror with a floral pave of floral was our Regale Collection paired with Regency Cubes, Rose and Mon Tables. The setting also featured oversize Lamps designed and fabricated by AOO Events. They are stunning and a great element for integrating décor and lighting together.
On the other side of the room a double grouping created from the Winston Collection and Civic Tables on top of a Safari Rug was finished with amber candles and a centerpiece constructed from sculpted greenery and moss. Two Memphis rectangle Pubs created with Marcus Bar Stools added more guest seating. A double Umber Bar backed with Espresso Shanti Back Bars completed the setting.
Scattered throughout the area were Zinc High Top tables topped with architecturally sculpted floral by Jason Vorse, AOO’s Lead Floral Designer. All the floral design was incredibly inspiring. Look at the creative originality found within each piece. Stunning!
Inside the Garden Room, surrounded with white drape and break up gobo patterns, our Crystal Button furniture created a focal point with two groupings accented with red and black pattern pillows and matched with our Novel Tables. Down the center of the space was our Essential Turning Bed with matching black damask patterned and red pillows. Guests could get a drink at our VIP Glow Bars with Crystal Bar Surrounds with White Bar Backs. We also previewed our new Chandler Collection matched with Zanzibar square tables. Our black and white Jumangi Chair Groupings accented with Zanzibar tables added the final touch to the space.
Food for the evening was delicious and prepared by SLS Hotel culinary artist Chef José Andrés along with wine, beer and specialty cocktails. DJ Nachey provided background entertainment for the evening.
For a decadent finish to the evening, guests could take a stroll through the Candy Lounge where they could satisfy their sweet tooth at a candy bar created from our VIP Glow Bars with custom graphics and topped with mini donuts, cake pops and a plethora of candies. Yum! Furnishings in the space showcased our Sophistication Line decked with colorful pillows and accessorized with Cube Ottomans in a rainbow of colors. Phoebe Tables were scattered throughout and provided the perfect accents. Candy girls dressed in glow boas and boots interacted with guests and added some “sweet” interaction to the evening.
