Dallas, TX. December 23, 2010. AFR Event Furnishings is excited to announce its newest location—Dallas/Fort Worth. Leigh Stem, CSEP has been selected to head sales in this new service area.
The national event furnishings company continues to expand its service area with the launch of its new Texas facility. With an impressive showroom and warehouse facility located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, the company's distinguished furnishings will be available for special event and tradeshow clients throughout Texas and surrounding areas.
With the goal of servicing clients in every major city coast to coast, the opening of AFR's new Texas facility is another step in its national expansion plan. "With Super Bowl just around the corner and weekly requests for new furniture options in this market, we knew it was essential to our clients to expand into Texas" explains Jerry Hellman, President, AFR Event Furnishings. "AFR prides itself on the finest customer service and we feel strongly that our new physical presence will address our clients' continued needs for the hands-on assistance they have come to depend on when partnering with AFR."
Leigh Stem, CSEP, has been selected as the Account Executive to lead the new location's sales team. Leigh will be responsible for managing sales in the entire state and surrounding areas for special event and tradeshow rental needs. "Leigh Stem came very highly recommended by a number of her peers in the Texas and National Special Event Industry," says Greg Zalkin, AFR's General Manager, Southeast Region. "We are excited to have her join our growing AFR family."
With 14 years of experience in the Dallas/Ft. Worth event rental industry, and nine years in catering sales, Stem is the ideal addition to the AFR team. She earned her Certified Special Event Professional designation in 2006 before serving as the ISES Dallas Chapter President from 2007-2008. During that time she was also awarded both the Spirit Award and the Pinnacle Award. In 2010, she was honored at the Texas Star Awards for her dedication and service to the ISES Dallas Chapter. "I am thrilled to be a part of AFR," says Stem. "I am excited to be able to introduce such an incredible company to the Texas market. I believe a furnishings company of this caliber is going to do extremely well here. My goal is to assist clients in creating beautiful events and help to grow AFR!"
