AFR Event Furnishings is pleased to announce its newest team member, Dave Buckley, CSEP. As the company’s Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Buckley will be responsible for growing AFR’s market share in the Northeast, as well as inspiring others and contributing to the success of the overall company goals.
Integrally involved in the special events industry, Buckley has been a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of ISES for the past 13 years, has served two terms as President, and is currently serving his second term as the ISES Northeast Regional Vice President. He is also a member of National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), The Society of Wedding Planners (SWP), and The Perfect Wedding Guild (PWG).
Prior to joining AFR, Buckley served as General Manager of Select Event Rentals, a full-service tent and party equipment rental company, as well as working with other tent and rental companies in the Philadelphia tri-state area. He also knows the food and beverage Industry. Formerly the General Manager/F&B Director at Paxon Hollow Country Club in 2003-2004, Buckley holds a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management.
The CSEP has won numerous industry awards over the past eight years, and earned his prestigious designation in 2002. Buckley believes that continuing education is the key to success, especially in the special events and hospitality industries. “You have to get involved in order to get back,” he explains. “If you do choose to be involved, there is no end to the growth you can experience.”
Based in the corporate offices in Pennsauken, NJ, Buckley will report directly to Mark Greason, Director of Special Events and Trade Shows, and will maintain, build, and rejuvenate client relationships throughout the Northeastern United States and beyond. “We are thrilled to have Dave on board,” says Greason. “We believe he will leverage existing relationships and assist in the continued success of AFR’s special events division.”
